About Us

Since 1946, the Wilhoit family has been serving East Central Georgia with its propane needs. The Wilhoit brothers, Wirt and Jud Jr., formed the company and ran the business out of their family home on Court Square in Warrenton. The company was soon moved to the office location on the corner of Court Square where it remains today. 

In 1990, Wirt’s son-in-law Alton Johnson came to work for the company. Wirt’s daughter, Jo Johnson, later joined the company in 1992. Today, after several expansions, acquisitions, and moves, Wilhoit Propane now serves the counties of Warren, McDuffie, Hancock, Columbia, Taliaferro, Glascock, Jefferson, Washington, and Baldwin.

Our service and delivery staff has over 50 years of combined experience. They each have met and exceeded the training set forth by the Georgia Propane Association and the Federal Department of Transportation. In addition to our service and delivery staff, we have an office staff that is ready to help meet your propane needs and answer any questions you may have.
